Optical properties of SWNTs highly separated in metallic (98%) and semiconducting (99%) functionalized with conjugated polymers
Project Director: Dr. Mihaela BAIBARAC
This project proposal aims to strengthen collaboration between Institut des Materiaux “Jean Rouxel”(IMN), Laboratory of Physics of Materials and Nanostructures (PMN), France and National Institute of Materials Physics (NIMP), Laboratory of Optical Processes in Nanostructured Materials (OPNM), Romania. It plans common researches aimed at the enhancement of optical properties by surface plasmons, studies performed on SWNTs highly separated in metallic (98%) and semiconducting (99%) components electrochemically functionalized with conjugated polymers. The studies considered to be performed will open new opportunities for the two teams to different applications . As shown in the description of bilateral cooperation projects, the two teams are complementary in terms of research infrastructure and skills of members. The success of this project consist in the fact that the research topic offers: i) educational opportunities for technical and scientific trainings for Master and PhD fellows and presentation of invited lectures for young researchers; ii) results in basic researches field that will be published in ISI journals and presented as contribution to international conferences; iii) creates opportunities to participate at open calls of funding in the frame of the programs of European Union and NATO. A plan of mobility of the Romanian and French young researchers is proposed.
