Maria Baleanu, Chemical Engineer, born in 1978, graduated Faculty of Industrial Chemistry– Section “Chemical Engineering” at University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB) (2003), has a MSc degree in Computer use in chemical and biochemical engineering (UPB) (2004). Work experience: Research Assistant in the project “44 PPCCDI” Horia Hulubei National Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering (2018-2022); National Institute of Materials Physics (NIMP) (2022 – to date);

Main areas of interest/expertise: chemical synthesis of complex nanostructures, materials characterization by thermogravimetric analysis, electron spin resonance, infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy.
