· 2005-2009 – Chemical Engineer, Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, University Politehnica of Bucharest, specialization: Advanced Polymer Materials. Graduated in 2009 with a diploma entitled: “Nestrapol unsaturated polyester resins”.

·  2009-2011 - Master in Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, University Politehnica of Bucharest. Diploma entitled: “Nanocomposites based on epoxy resins and montmorillonite”.

· 2011-2014 - Ph.D in Chemical Engineering (Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, University Politehnica of Bucharest). The title of the thesis is: “Organic Semiconductor materials for applications in photonics”.

Research interests

synthesis and characterization of organic, organometallic compounds and perovskites; fabrication of OLEDs and OLETs; fabrication of nanofibers by electrospinning process.

Expertize

 Synthesis and purification of the organometallic compounds and polymers by chemical methods with different mechanisms of reaction; characterization of organometallic compounds and polymers by spectroscopic, structural and electrochemical methods by FT-IR, Raman, UV-VIS, photoluminescence, electroluminescence, thermogravimetric analysis, Differential scanning calorimetry, XRD, HPLC, NMR 

 Thin film deposition of organic materials by thermal evaporation, spincoating, deep coating, cycling voltammetry and cronoamperometry; 

 Fabrication of OLEDs and OLETs devices with organometallic compounds as emissive layers in cleanroom laboratory,  current voltage and electroluminescence measurements.

 Preparation of fiber networks by electrospinning.

Dr. I.C.Ciobotaru - Scientific researcher rank III (since 2016), born in 1986, graduated the Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, University Politehnica of Bucharest, specialization: Advanced Polymer Materials; Ph.D in Chemical Engineering (since 2014).

• 09/2016 – present – Senior Researcher 3rd degree at National Institute of Materials Physics.

• 09/2012 – 09/2016 – Research Assistant at National Institute of Materials Physics, promoted the examination for Researcher in 2016.

• 09/2010 – 09/2012 – intern Research Assistant at National Institute of Materials Physics, promoted the examination for Research Assistant in 2012. 

• 03/2010 – 09/2010 – Research Assistant at National Institute for Chemical Pharmaceutical Research and Development, Pharmaceutical Biotehnologies Department, Bucharest.

FELLOWSHIPS:
