Project Abstract:

This project aims to give more insight into the connection between local structure and magnetic properties of complex nanosized oxides containing transition metals or rare earth elements. In this respect, a complex characterization will be performed by means of X-Ray diffraction, Mössbauer spectroscopy and magnetometry. The magnetic properties will be optimized relative to specific applications by careful adjustment of the preparation conditions.
