The MICROTECH MX3 system consists of the hardness tester model MMT-X3 manufactured by Matsuzawa Co.Ltd. (Japan) and the PRESI VIEW HARDNESS PACK software developed by PRESI SAS. (France). In the current configuration the system can measure and evaluate the Vickers hardness of materials using loads up to 1 kgf (HV-1).

Loads : 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000g dead weights / Manual turret up to 4 objectives and 2 indenters / dwell time from 5s to 99s / Vickers, Knoop Scales, Kc, Offset for Vickers on cylindrical samples / Direct result on Touch Panel / Occular ´10 with objectives ´10 and ´40 / XY manual stage 100 ´ 100 mm with stroke 25 ´ 25 mm digital micrometers for posioning accuracy ~1 μm / color digital camera USB, 1.3 Mega pixels 1280´1024 display / PRESSI software for image acquisition & indent measurements / Calibration functions.
Applications:
Measurement of solid materials hardness (HV: 0.005, 0.01, 0.025, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 1.0) suited for soft to hard materials.
