Event date and time: 29/04/2024 11:00 am

Event location: Seminar Room NIMP

Dear Colleagues,

You are invited, Monday, April 29, at 11 a.m., to the INCDFM seminar room to attend to the presentation entitled << The route to „green” in organic bioelectronics >>, given by Dr. Mihai Irimia-Vladu, from Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Austria.

The biography of Dr. Irimia-Vladu can be found below:

Dr. Mihai IRIMIA-VLADU
Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria
Dr. Mihai IRIMIA-VLADU obtained his PhD from the Materials Engineering Department of Auburn University in August 2006, under the mentorship of Prof. Jeffrey Fergus in the field of chemical sensing. He moved to Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria as a post-doctoral researcher in the groups of late Prof. Siegfried Bauer (Soft Matter Physics) and Prof. Serdar Sariciftci (Physical Chemistry). From October 2012 to May 2019, Dr Irimia-Vladu activated as a Senior Scientist at Joanneum Research in Weiz, Austria. In the Fall of 2019 Dr. Irimia-Vladu moved back to Linz in the Institute of Physical Chemistry led by Prof. Serdar Sariciftci, where he continues his original research lines aimed at investigated natural materials for electronics, photovoltaics and energy harvesting. For his contribution to the field of natural materials for electronics, Dr. Irimia-Vladu, was awarded in the year 2010 the First Prize of the Austrian Society for Environment and Technology. In the year 2019, he was selected by the College of Engineering of Auburn University, Alabama, as the Outstanding Materials Engineering Alumnus, for his achievements in the development of environmentally friendly materials as sustainable and compostable devices for electronics and energy harvesting applications.
