Jonctiuni multiferoice memristive (MMs)

Elementele versatile multi-nivel memristive bazate pe jonctiuni tunel multiferoice au proprietati remarcabile determinate de posibilitatea modularii curentului electric prin jonctiune controland independent orientarea magnetizarii electrozilor feromagnetici si a polarizarii feroelectrice a barierei tunel. Cuplajul acestor proprietati magneto-electrice este unul dintre cele mai active campuri de cercetare in stiinta materialelor, deschizand un larg spectru de applicatii technologice de la memorii non-volatile, la elemente in circuitele logice, dispositive de detectie–senzori, de stocare de energie, modele ale sinapselor biologice in domeniul emergent al ingineriei neuromorfice si al inteligentei artificiale. Aici vom demonstra functionarea starile sprintronice multi-memristive ale jonctiunilor tunel multiferoice ca elemente cu doua terminale compuse dintr-o bariera tunel nanoscopica constand intr-un film organic feroelectric si pentru prima data compus din bio-molecule, intercalat intre doi electrozi magnetici diferiti din aliaje Heusler. Realizarea acestor stari rezistive – o tranzitie de la TRL2 la nivelul TRL3 – vor fi controlate prin dependenta curentului de tunelare prin aceste heterostructuri de polarizarea electrica a filmului feroelectric (electrorezistenta de tunelare) si de orientarea relativa a magnetizarii electrozilor magnetici (magnetorezistenta de tunelare). Mai mult, o influenta reciproca intre proprietatile electrice si magnetice poate fi realizata prin controlul cuplajului magneto-electric la interfete, folosind efectele multifunctionale associate variatiilor termice si mecanice, adica efectele piro- si piezo-electrice ale feroelectricilor si efectele magneto-calorice, magneto-strictive si de puternica polarizare in spin a compusilor alesi ca material pentru electrozii magnetici.
